Shamrock Promotions LLC was started in 1999, and ever since then this St. Louis based fight company has been filling venues and giving fans in the Midwest a Las Vegas style of fight experience. Founders Jesse Finney and Rob Donaker have grown this company from holding events at Banquet Halls and Night Clubs to national televised fights at the Scott Trade Center. Currently the company is the three time winner of the IKF/ISCF Promoter of the year award.

From their humble beginning, it seemed that no place was too big for Shamrock Promotions and today that theme has continued with such fight leagues as the World Combat League, Strikeforce, and the X Fights all contracting Shamrock Promotions to run their events.

Carpenters Plaza was the original spot for the Midwest Fight Fest, but over the years Shamrock has held fights at the 2 Hearts Banquet Hall, Union Plaza, Lucky’s Night Club (where Tuesday Night Fight Night was introduced and every Tuesday Shamrock Promotions turned Lucky’s Night Club into a fight club for all fight fans to enjoy!) The Broadway Athletic Club once played home to the fights, just as the Stratford Inn and the Viking Hotel currently do. Shamrock also produced the Shrine Fight Night in Springfield Illinois for the Ansar Shrine Temple. Just one of many fundraising events Shamrock Promotions was part of in the past.

Shamrock Promotions put together the Xtreme Fight Party in 2007 which was held at the Scott Trade Center in St Louis. For the first time ever thousands of fans turned out to see a card that had it all from boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts all on the same night. It’s this kind of thinking and creativity that has kept Shamrock Promotions on top in the Midwest fight game. Currently Shamrock Promotions holds monthly fights at both the Viking Hotel and the Stratford Inn here in St Louis, but again the company is growing and moving. 2008 had Shamrock Promotions running the live events for Chuck Norris’s World Combat League in such cities as Denver, Atlantic City, and San Antonio. Also Shamrock has teamed up with the X Fights to run events all over the Midwest from Kansas City to Oklahoma City! In June of 2009, Shamrock brought Strikeforce to St. Louis at the Scott Trade Center. Because of the success of this event Shamrock teamed up once again with Strikeforce on the Strikeforce Challengers Series in Kansas City, KS in November of 2009.
